All of this will give you the confidence to work effectively with dyslexic learners of all ages.

Anne Margaret Smith has taught English for 30 years and worked with dyslexic learners for most of that time, as a dyslexia assessor and specialist tutor. Through ELT well she provides materials and CPD for teachers to help them support their multilingual and neurodiverse learners. Anne Margaret co-authored 'Teaching Languages to Students with Specific Learning Differences', with Judit Kormos, and has presented at many ELT and dyslexia events around the world, including giving a keynote talk at the NALDIC conference in November 2019. She is the co-ordinator of the IATEFL special interest group for Inclusive Practices and SEN.

Matthew Evens is a freelance Musical Facilitator based in Bradford, UK. He’s a qualified music teacher and was Head of Music at a Performing Arts School in Leeds for 4 years. Since then he’s had 10 years’ experience of working with students who have a range of sensory, emotional, behavioural and cognitive challenges to overcome. Matthew has 30 years experience of performing and writing music in many different genres and has performed at Glastonbury, Womad and the Isle of Wight festivals. He is the co-author of ‘Language Learning and Musical Activities’, with Anne Margaret.
